Hi,

I threw together a website for my Burning Steppes Guild using simplemachines forum, cos I like it's security and the style of coding. Easy to write into.

When we all reached 80 and started to grow we needed a raid scheduling tool. I used Raidninja. But I needto to wrap it in my websites skin, so with some easy mods and password integration it's integrated pretty well now. I forget where I read about the simplemachines integration but this was not my doing. It does however work really well.

This post, however, is about a simple little mod I did that makes it easier for my retarded guild mates to signup.

We're at that point were we got enough players for 10 ten men raids, but not quite enough for a 25. So we divide the guys into two teams each week, and they still with that team. We called them red and blue teams so that one would not feel hard done by, or the crap squat. Anyway, the problem was these guys were lazy and failed to read the raid details and hence often signed for the wrong raids.

To make it easier I added a new raid info field called raid_color, defined the variables in various files, and some html tweaking and the end result is a different background color per raid group. This has worked wonders for the reatrded in my guild.
